In 2005 the Federal Group appointed FutureBrand to develop a name and identity for its new tourism brand. As the largest tourism operator in Tasmania (Australia’s smallest state), the Federal Group owns many 4 and 5 star accommodation and activity-based products in 3 main locales.
FutureBrand developed a ‘destination’ based strategy, establishing the identity and appeal of specific locations as holiday destinations in their own right with design elements that reference each place’s unique character and offer: pioneering Strahan Village, rugged Cradle Mountain and tranquil Freycinet.

The Commonwealth of Australia is a federal constitutional monarchy under a parliamentary democracy. The Commonwealth of Australia was formed in 1901 as a result of an agreement among six self-governing British colonies, which became the six states.
