Latvian Football Federation (LFF) was founded in 1921 and actively organized the main football events in country until 1940. Just after regaining independence LFF restarted its work in 1991. Latvian Football Federation (LFF)

The Latvian Football Federation (LFF) (Latvian: Latvijas Futbola Federācija) is the governing body of football in Latvia based in the capital, Riga. It organises the Latvian football championship (Virslīga and lower leagues), Latvian Football Cup and the Latvia national football team. LFF became a member of FIFA in 1922, but following Latvia's annexation by the Soviet Union it was disbanded. It became a member again in 1992 after Latvia became independent.
