The first crest of Paris Saint-Germain appeared in 1970 and consisted of a ball and a vessel, which are powerful symbols of Paris. It was used during the following three seasons. The crest was changed to the current and 'historical' one in 1973: the red silhouette of the Eiffel Tower and the white royal cradle of Louis XIV between its legs on a blue background with white edging.

The crest changed in 2013 under the President Nasser Al-Khelaifi's approval with a renovated and modern design capturing features from the previous crest as it features the iconic Eiffel Tower with the foundation date removed and the text 'Saint-Germain' replaces it. The new concept brings the brand up to the level of the standards of excellence set by Paris itself, respecting its DNA and its history.
