The bird family, used in the logo dates back to the Nestle family coat of arms and symbolizes the meaning of the Nestle name "small nest" was original created in 1875, and the "Nestlé" name was added to the logo in 1938. Since then the both primary elements of the logo have never been separated. As the Nestlé grew up, the combined mark has be simplified to the logo we know today. The tree is supposed to represent an oak and the birds thrushes.
