Gatorade like many other companies lately has recently had the urge to shrink their actual name… like Mountain Dew.. to MTNDEW etc. Gatorade has a mysterious new campaign representing sports professionals as gods, goats,? the greatest of all time, more g words etc. etc..? At first I thought Little Wayne the speaker for the spot was just using " g " words to define Gatorade ( pretty much down to earth, but the spot was far too long to do that… and there was a 2nd ad in this campaign that already left this "g" track ). The spots are in black and white and focus on the upper case letter G at the end in 3d.

Gatorade is the only part of the Pepsi re-branding scheme that I actually enjoy. I love the new simplified G and lightning bolt. I'm also quite fond of the bulky slab serif font used on their packaging.
