This is the first time that Dolby Laboratories redesigned its logo since 1965 in which Dolby was founded by Ray Dolby in Britain. This version keeps the same icon - "Double D", but the gap between two D has been removed. Also the new typeface is adapted.
Turner Duckworth simplified and updated Dolby's familiar logo for a more contemporary, sophisticated look. The new logo system makes Dolby the "hero" in every configuration, and it provides consistency, clarity and the flexibility to adapt and grow.
